About Us


The African Business Forum (ABF) is the UBC African Business Club’s flagship event happening this November. This Forum aims to be the premier student-run business Forum on Africa on the West Coast of North America. It happens once a year and brings students, academics, international business leaders and innovative Africa-focused entrepreneurs to the University of British Columbia for a day of inspired and focused discussion on enterprise in Africa.


The UBC African Business Club is the home of African Business at the University of British Columbia, located in Vancouver, Canada.

Our mission is to promote Africa as a great place to do business. Through our flagship event, the African Business Forum, the UBC African Business Club identifies and promotes business opportunities between North America and Africa by providing a platform for knowledge transfer between students, young professionals, accomplished and leading business leaders from across Africa and North America.The African Business Club also provides students with opportunities for professional development including: internships, mentorship, business plan development and case studies.
